Window Cleaning Tip

Window cleaning is one thing but keeping the windows clean can be another story. There are some things that you can do that will help keep windows looking good.

Most people are not aware that glass sealant products will provide a protective barrier. Sealants are polymer based and help protect the window glass at a molecular level. They work by putting a protective film over the windows to help keep them from spotting. Some of the specific protection guarantees from sealant manufacturers are that they will protect the glass from:

1. Rainwater spotting

2. Dust, pollen and other airborne pollutants

3. Hard Water mineral deposits

The protective coating not only helps repel water to keep the window from spotting, it also fills in the tiny imperfections or scratches on the glass to help the glass sparkle and look like new.

The lack of publicity regarding polymer based glass sealants is unfortunate as they work well and make a significant difference in the window appearance. Personally, I find window cleaning hard work but do get satisfaction from a job well done. At least I thought the windows looked great until I used a sealant and saw a significant difference in the way the windows looked.

The last benefit to polymer sealants is the ability to help reduce soap or water bleed on vinyl windows. Water tends to get trapped in the sides of the vinyl and then runs onto the glass after the glass has been cleaned. It’s an annoying problem with vinyl windows although they’ve gotten better in the last few years. The polymer helps with this problem by filling the tiny spaces in the glass that helps trap water. Filling the tiny imperfections in the glass helps prevent the water from being trapped in the sides of the vinyl frame.

Using glass protectants as part of your window cleaning process, can keep glass looking clean and shiny for 6 – 12 months.

The Various Kinds Of Wainscoting Panels

If you are  thinking about  redecorating  your home or you need to  design an entirely  new look for a future house, the use of  waynes coating can do miracles for making a diverse range of different moods and looks. For instance  wainscoting panels are ideal for  lending depth and dimension to any kind of  room. Below are a few  ways you can  use wainscoting to decorate your home.

What’s wainscoting or as some say waynes coating? Essentially, it is a popular type of decorating which involves utilizing molds to bisect the room horizontally. This gives you two different parts to enhance: the upper wall and the lower wall. You will find different styles that may be set up dependent on the materials employed. These styles are typically set up in a ribbed pattern utilizing specially measured rectangle-shaped planks of wood, ceramic, vinyl among others. The cosmetic factor isn’t the only element to take into consideration when choosing the material to use for the wainscoting panels. You will want to insure whatever you decide, is sensible for your application as well.

For instance, there are several wainscoting panels manufactured from a number of different types of wood, from pine to mahogany. This leads to a wide range of warm, natural shades which only wood can really provide. You should consider, however, that wood is not impervious to discoloration, watermarks, or scratches, which makes them less than perfect materials for the busier parts of your home including bathrooms, bedrooms, foyers, hallways, and kitchens. Larger scratches can be hard to get rid of, however, smaller scratches can be gently buffed away for the most part. In addition to this, there is also polishing and staining along with other types of upkeep to concern yourself with. For this reason, wooden wainscoting panels are ideal for more formal areas including offices, libraries, or living rooms.

If you’re looking for wainscoting panels which are both attractive and durable, vinyl materials are an ideal option for many, albeit costly. Issues with staining and water marks are essentially non existant with this particular material which is made of durable plastic and it is nonabsorbent. Its naturally hard surface also makes it formidable against even large scrapes. Thus, it’s a particularly nice material for bathrooms and kitchens, where accidents may occur.

Together with wood and vinyl wainscoting panels, there are other options such as embossed panels, recessed panels, and raised panels. Rather than using the vertical ribbing pattern of beadboards, these depend on square patterns. While not perfect for every room, they are good for hallways, foyers, and display areas. Their simple, repeated design is a subtle, elegant addition to the room. You will find lots of wainscoting ideas available so please feel free to explore wainscoting panels today! You will be amazed at just how much they can add to your home.
